Dear Senator Feinstein,

Please, for the love of God, quit it. I am on the verge of suicide, in part because of smart people like you doing stupid, cynical, pandering things like S. 456. I'm entirely serious. There is no greater drain on one's faith in humanity than to have to watch awful, nasty, entirely predictable shit like this spring from the pen of a supposedly progressive California Democrat, in an era in which your party holds the majority and you in particular are not exactly on the chopping block.

You won the battle, no thanks to you. You sat back and watched it happen, because there was never any real danger to you personally. You have political capital to burn. Destroying fewer lives might now be something to consider. You have all the cover you need to be a true leader on this issue, so why, why, WHY must you run so predictably in the other direction?

Whenever you reach to the other side of the aisle, bad things happen. I mean, Orrin Hatch? There are all kinds of tacky yet accurate things I could say about that unholy authoritarian alliance, but I'll refrain and state only that it was you, more than any other individual, who drove me out of the Democratic Party.

Hasn't it gotten old for you yet, despite the undeniable head rush of knowing that a few thousand more parents will be locked up for a bit longer if you have anything to say about it?

I cannot live in a country and in a state that have become the world's number-one per capita incarcerators. It poisons everything. It solves nothing. It bleeds my wallet, but that's nothing compared to what it does to our inner cities. Creating new federal crimes is great for federal prosecutors and drug traffickers, and that's pretty much it. William F. Buckley had it right all along, and whatever you can say about his possible ulterior motives, he was right on this one.

S. 456, one more attempt at bringing Fascism home to Californication. Frankenfeinstein is not worth dying over dude. This is not her first attempt at Despotism. She sided with Oral Hatch a few years ago over the Meth Ax that would have prevented us from even posting articles or talking about medicinal Ganja or even hemp. It was shot down but these low lifes keep on coming up with other draconian bills.

Frankenfeinstein got her start when Harvey Milk was shot. The killer walked right past her and shot the mayor and Harvy. Nodded like it was all part of the plan. Just coincidence she catapulted from a SF council staff to US Senator. Their paychecks from kickback are on the line and chickenlittle is working overtime. The only backing she has left is anti-abortionists drug worriers and some gay women. Those without illness requiring medical Ganja or having loved ones sitting sick in cages.

Wonder when the cops will finally be brave enough to do what we pay them without all these Constitutional rapes and pilages? Always to ease the cops burdons? Always the cops against Ganja or Hemp. I wasn't aware it was the United Cops of America. More like The Untied State of Anemica!
